 ABOUT US Joe Allen opened his restaurant in the New York Theatre District in 1965. In January 1977 Joe Allen Restaurant opened in London’s West End. News spread like wildfire through the London Theatre world and it became the essential bolt-hole for artists, artisans, performers, journalists and theatre-goers.
